Three Rivers WMA Grassland Restoration

Location: Lysander, NY

Purpose: Identified as a bird santuary. The marsh and wetland habitats supports breeding, nesting and brood rearing activities for osprey, bald eagle, canada geese, mallard and wood duck.

Description: Restoration and enhancement of grassland areas for grassland nest bird species.

Resource Value: Habitat restoration

Cost: $2,000 (10 acres) to $10,000 (nearly all grassland habitat)

Permit Requirements: TRP and possibly Article 24

Partners: Interested CWRP members, NYSDEC, NYS Forest Rangers
